It’s been a very difficult and serious time for us all. After the entire country was put on lockdown 10 weeks ago, it affected our businesses, our lives and our very way of life.
Since the start of the pandemic and lockdown, DLM have continued to deliver key information to the nation. Door drops are reliable and safe medium for organisations to display important messages, updates and provide reassurance to people during this period of lockdown. For this reason, DLM have and will continue to provide distribution services for businesses, councils, charities and the UK Government.
DLM are members of the DMA (Data & Marketing Association) who recently published an article explaining the importance of our industry in these unprecedented times. This article, backed up by the statement from Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden, who said on 20 March: “Public service news across TV, radio and print has never been more important than it is right now. I can confirm that broadcasters, journalists and the necessary ancillary staff are included as key workers.”
With the Government’s recent statement to reopen all non-essential shops from the 15th of June including property, automotive and garden centres DLM have taken the decision to increase our workforce, allowing us to accommodate more door drop bookings. All of our services are still in place and we’re able to work safely from either the office or home in order to create the perfect marketing campaign for you.
To ensure we are safe while carrying out our business activities and to ensure the safety of our distribution teams and the public whilst delivering leaflets, we have updated our health and safety procedures in line with the latest government information. The nature of our work makes it very easy to socially distance and we are, of course, advising all our distributors to take common-sense precautions with applicable PPE to keep them safe and to protect others.
Our office staff are working on a rotational basis to reduce the amount of people within the office on any given day, whilst some operational and sales staff will still be operating from home. All design, print, mailing and door to door services are operational to ensure your marketing message gets carried out from design to letterbox.
We understand that the situation is far from normal and that re-opening a business after a global pandemic is unpredictable and a challenge that we are all faced with, but as a business, we must re-engage with old customers and where possible, attract new prospects.
